About Me

STUDIO SAM CAUSER
Architecture is not a product but a series of processes that begin when we open our eyes in the morning and continue unwittingly while we dream at night. Pre-occupied with the everyday and the intimate, my work begins with the human mind, its beliefs and responsibilities, and marries this with the practical conditions of each project. Whilst everybody has a responsibility to make the most of our environment, perhaps the architect is best placed to balance the physical and logical elements that together create spaces worthy of our collective capability. Over the past ten years I’ve collaborated closely with engineers, cost consultants, contractors and clients, as well as with artists, choreographers, film-makers and academics, together producing a rich and broad practice centered on the act of making spaces to support life. I’ve produced acclaimed work for fascinating clients and leading institutions including Worlds End Vivienne Westwood, The Architecture Foundation, the Hayward Gallery and Cambridge University, as well as for several loyal private clients. I’m able to give incredible value to all my projects, and am proud to work again and again with the same collaborators.
